The Trefoil Knot, SL_2(Z) and Modular Forms -- Maksim Lipyanskiy

The goal of this talk is to demonstrate the unity of mathematics
by describing a relationship (due to Dan Quillen) between the complement of
the trefoil, the space of lattices and the theory of elliptic functions. <br />
Along the way, we will meet conformal structures on tori, orbifolds and the
most famous picture in mathematics.
