About Curriculum Vitae Research Teaching
I am a Ritt Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Columbia; research in low dimensional topology.
I received my PhD in Mathematics in February 2014, from Sharif University of Technology; My advisors were Eaman Eftekhary and Alireza Bahraini. I was a Postdoctoral research fellow at Max Planck institute for Mathematics, Bonn from March 2014 till June 2015.
I am interested in low dimensional topology, knot theory and contact and symplectic geometry.
My research is partly supported by a topology NSF grant DMS-1811210.
Since Fall 2016, I have been an organizer of the Symplectic Geometry, Gauge Theory, and Categorification seminar at Columbia University.
In summer 2016, I co-organized the workshop Homological invariants in low dimensional topology at Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM).
I organized the following reading seminars at Columbia university:
This semester I teach Introduction to Algebraic Topology.
In summer 2018, I led an REU project at Columbia University, joint with Linh Truong.
