Math G9905: Research Seminar in Number Theory (Fall 2014)

Here are the notes I took for Dorian Goldfeld's research seminar in number theory in Fall 2014. As the seminar progresses, these notes will be revised and perhaps compiled into a single document. I recommend that you visit this page from time to time for the most updated version.

In Professor Goldfeld's own words, "The Research Seminar in Number Theory will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 11:40a.m. with an organizational meeting and after that meet once a week on Tuesdays. The focus of this seminar will be on research of graduate students and faculty in the department. We hope for a lot of local participation and from time to time there will also be outside speakers talking on related topics. Please let me know if you'd like to be included in future e-mails."

Due to my own lack of understanding of the materials, I have inevitably introduced both mathematical and typographical errors in these notes. Please email me if you have any corrections or comments.
