The geometry of division algebras

One important method for showing that a unirational variety over the
complex numbers is nonrational involves the study of division algebras. In
this talk I will give a brief introduction to this idea and then discuss
connections between division algebras and bundles of projective spaces and
other homogeneous varieties.
