Title: The Landau-Ginzburg/Calabi-Yau correspondence for a complete intersection
Abstract: In their 2009 paper, Chiodo and Ruan proved that the
genus-zero Gromov-Witten theory of the quintic threefold matches a
rather different theory, the FJRW theory of the quintic singularity.
I will explain how to place this correspondence in a broader context,
which not only helps to motivate their result but allows for a new
generalization to certain complete intersections. This is joint work
with Alessandro Chiodo.
