Title: Log Gromov-Witten Theory II
Abstract: In this lecture, I will introduce the virtual splitting formula for log Gromov-Witten invariants by analyzing the structure of the stacks of stable log maps to a one parameter degeneration. Then a gluing formula will be introduced to reconstruct Gromov-Witten invariants from each split vertices. The gluing formula together with the splitting formula yield a version of degeneration formula for GW invariants. This is a joint work with Dan Abramovich, Mark Gross, Bernd Siebert.
