PAPER #1: ON A WORK OF BACH
Links to Bach Cantatas
conducted by Helmuth Rilling
Bach composed a truly vast number of sacred cantatas. Choose
one from the links below. Be sure you listen to the whole
cantata! It will typically begin and end with a choral
movement, though there are exceptions. A few of
the better-known cantatas are mentioned below by name, but you
may choose any one.
Texts and translations may be found in the link to the Liner
Notes in the upper left-hand corner of each page. Be sure to
cite the Liner Notes if you draw any ideas from them.
