Fiber Bundles, the Hopf Fibration and Magnetic Monopoles -- Dominick Scaletta
<p>

I will define a fiber bundle and give a few classic examples, such as cylinder, covering space, Mobius strip and the tangent bundle. I will also define principle bundles 
and give some examples of connections on bundles. Then I will define the Hopf map and show how this bundle describes the Dirac Monopole, which gives us a naturally 
quantized electric charge.

Prerequisites: Topology and geometry would be nice.
