p-adic Analysis -- Alon Levy

p-adic analysis can investigate the same topics as real analysis. We will see how functional analysis differs in the two cases. For example, the p-adic norm makes questions of convergence easier to handle. On the other hand, the notion of completeness becomes weaker. We will see how certain theorems in real functional analysis have p-adic analogs, and how others don't, or do only given extra assumptions.
